Data Protection, Fair Processing Notice

Wyre Borough Council is notified with the Information Commissioner to collect and use personal data for any legitimate council business, and this would include collecting it for public consultations. That purpose is covered by the council.s data protection notification.

The consultation exercises we undertake are necessarily public processes. Furthermore, to make these processes open and fair it requires some information to be made public. In particular we need to tell you that we may disclose your name and contact details - for example by publishing them on the internet together with your views.

In line with the law and the Data Protection principles, the personal data we collect will be used only in the consultation process and will be destroyed after that process is satisfactorily completed."
